there is just something about fashion that seems to capture the eye of so many people and makes them want to be a part of such an amazing thing. People get interested by big names such as Coco Chanel or Balmain, or it may be smaller things such as the smaller things such as the embellishment on a dress or the pattern on a bag that captures the imagination of so many designers or stylists that just want to be a part of something big. And well, i don't blame them. I remember the first time i new i wanted to be part of the fashion world- I was standing looking at magazines and picked up an 'Elle' magazine from the shelf and did a quick scan through, I stopped at a spread of Keara Knightley, and most of you may think it was the way she was posing or the clothes she was wearing, but actually it was something much smaller. It was the tiny beading on a jacket which could only have been seen under close inspection of the jacket. Obviously i bought the magazine and this was a few years ago, but my first inspiration for my first collection(which hasn't been shown) was the small beading and so i incorporated that into my designs. Even now i sit and start drawing and think "this needs a bit of beading" and honestly i am so glad that i opened that page. To anyone who wants to or think they might want to get into fashion i would say go for it but remember sometimes your inspiration can come from the smallest details.
