1. It might sound strange but a cake stand is a great way to store your jewellery! the different layers mean you can have a layer for earrings a layer for bracelets, a layer for rings or whatever else!
2. One of your local stores may sell these for cheap(for me it would be primark for £2)-- accessory or jewellery wall hangers are a good idea and you can get them in many colours,shapes and sizes.
3.Pearilized pins are normally used for dressmaking but if you do what i did and hammer a few of these into your wall and you have a great way to hang some of your jewellery(lauren conrad recommends it!)
4. cutlery storage trays are also a good way to store it as there are many sections so you can have a section for each selection of jewellery.
5. a small dish on your dresser or bedside table is a good solution for small earrings or a selection of your rings
6. and last but not least, a very simple way is just to hang some of your jewellery on your bedpost mirror or picture frames
